What We Do:

• Celebrate the talents, experiences, and diversity that immigrants bring to our community.  

• Work for policies that improve the quality of life of immigrants and refugees in our community, that encourage their full participation in civic, cultural, social and political life, and that lead to the just and humane treatment of all who live here.

• Serve as resource for the public, the media, and civic leaders on issues that affect local immigrant and refugee communities and on their extraordinary contributions to the community and the local economy.

How Do We Do It:

EDUCATION

• Workshops to inform immigrants & community members about legal and other issues impacting immigrants.

• Community engagement through antiracism workshops and presentations to faith-based & civic organizations.

ADVOCACY

• Through trusted relationships with immigrant communities, address their priority needs & pursue remedies with them.

• Partner with other groups to advocate for laws & policies supporting immigrants’ rights.

• Bring media attention to issues affecting immigrants.

• Monitor court proceedings.

DIRECT ASSISTANCE

• Collaborating with schools, community and health care organizations, secure resources & assistance with meeting basic needs.

• Assist families of individuals impacted by detention and family separation.
